Still hard at work

It may seem like very little is happening but rest assured, there are a lot of exciting things going on. Just to name one of a few new things coming, Polybonk is getting involved in an exciting new project code named Project Audio Libra: PAL - This project is about pushing the boundaries of the Open source world of audio software. We at Polyobnk are huge fans of Free software and I have convinced one of our artists at Polybonk, Kavafortet to agree to this experiment.

The goal of this project is to achieve a professional audio workstation exclusively using open source audio programs, plugins and operating system. The album created from this experiment will be released for free! We are still researching our options, and to be honest there are a lot to choose from! Like what Operating system we should use? What the best audio setup? What audio programs should we try? Where can we find a good source of audio plugins? The list goes on.

We are calling out for any advice on what path we should take. Currently I have setup Luke's computer from Karavfortet with Opensuse 11.1 kde 4.2 which is working out quite nicely. I'm very impressed with look and feel, but its still a very long way away from doing anything really useful.

Thats it for now, I'm actually in the middle of moving house as we speak!
